SPOOKY FOREST Backdrop for Drama Maniacs

I've been commissioned to design another backdrop for dramamaniacs.com
This time it was a spooky forest set for the kids show.  It's always a fun challenge working
with clients because you're really trying to work to get their vision realized. There can always be a little back and forth but overall, in the end if they're happy, I'm happy.

Here's a breakdown of the process I went through to get to the final product.

And here's the image how I pictured it just before final approval.  The final image that will be used on stage is a little more colourful and fun than this one as it's for a kids show and we don't want to scare the kiddies.

Things to keep in mind when getting into the animation industry

The second part to our Animation Half Circle is up. Take a look and let me know your thoughts or any questions. For those of you that don't know what this is. A couple of us animators from Disney and Dreamworks got together and had a discussion about the animation industry and our experiences in it over the years. Each month we're releasing a part of that conversation. This is sponsored by cgtarian.com which is an online animation course that we're all putting together. I will be teaching the CARTOONY ANIMATION CLASS. It starts in March. So if you're interested in learning how we do what we do. Please sign up. There is a lot of great information in these courses that even professional animators can something away from it.
